The comfort of clay helps me to cope with the uncomfortable experiences I have in life. I create one object and it becomes an abstract, physical representation of an internal issue. By using repetitive methods to create multiples of this object, I reference the intrusive and overpowering thoughts I obsess over. Clay is my coping mechanism and becomes my release. My rhythmic process transforms obsessive and disorganized thoughts into cohesion. My mind is able to transition more easily through overwhelming thoughts and emotions. The visual organizations of my objects create a physical representation of order over chaos.
